infrastructure

1) head - shoop (takes care of decisions. doesn't moderate. rune is inactive and basically quit the community)
2) admin - chakra (takes care of the technical)
3) mods - cele/me (cele gets main responsibility with me to fall back on). eventually replace me with chaise/exa if they start posting again.

terms

1) everyone swaps forum instantly if admins touch any posts. i'll do everything i can to make this happend.
2) minimal moderation (blatant spam/illegal content like porn gets deleted, everything else stays)
3) democratic decisions. everyone who's a known community-member gets a say. all smurfs/unknown toilets don't get to say shit. perhaps create a 'council' consisting of most of the known members.

improvements

1) arcade
2) picture-section (non-forum)
3) chat-box on bottom
4) overall finetuning of the posting options (quoting, smileys blabla)

i think this would please everyone currently involved, as well as being a good compromise for the ''boycott squad''. shoop gets no power over posts (i know it's not a guarantee, but it's the best option when taking everyone into account - not just the people who feel like shoop did something wrong by deleting 1 post). shoop doesn't get authorithy either, as democracy will be implemented. if he starts messing around with mods/sections without the consent of the majority = we swap forum.

thoughts? what do you think about this solution braggins?

add a log/archive for the chatbox as well. put it somewhere where it doesn't take space, yet is accessible to everyone.

While I commend your efforts I find it a bit funny that you call for a forum reform hours after you make posts saying that the current admin/moderator situation is fine "the job gets taken care of"

"1) the admin/moderator situation is fine on the forums - the job gets taken care of."

Seems like you don't agree with that anymore.

I don't see the need for Chakra since he was THE ONE (together with Drew) actively participating in the persuasion of beer/madhatters on the last forum persuading them to blatantly abuse the powers the community trusted them with by putting a big spider over Sideys post . Keep in mind, Chakra knew FULL WELL how Sidey would react to this abuse. And he still actively contributed to this happening. Also keep in mind that Sidey was one of the biggest forum contributors before this happened.

If anyone remembers, that was the reason we moved to this forum in the first place. Add to that that there isn't really any "technical things" to take care of. Sure you could add a arcade but it's not like Chakra couldn't tell Shoop/Runemining how to do it if they dont know or be granted temporary access.

Less is more. When it comes to administrators.

But if you don't agree fine, I won't argue against it, I don't feel as if its worth that much of my time. But if you're gonna promote Chakra despite what has happened in the past why not just move to Chatcraft then? Chakra is already in full control of that forum and the platform itself offers much more possibilities than this one, this forum could be imported as an archieve to that forum.

This is a good groundwork for what we should expect. I hope we could get a functional arcade... that would be so sick.

You got some backwards history.

2) promoted CHAKRA to admin despite knowing what the consensus about chakra is
3) ENCOURAGED chakra to abuse on the forums(chakra didnt wanna do it at first. "everyone is going to boycott your forums then". madhatters and drew kept pushing him. exa got botlogs of everything).
