Amir you not seeing through obvious fallacies in Sideys arguing is not a platform to build a map on. There is a reason not one smart person in this community takes Sidey seriously. That reason is not that he flames, its not that he sucks in sheep tag, its not that he trolls, its not that he posted gayporn on an old forum. It is that its so obvious whenever you see him in a topic expressing his own thoughts that he is a fucking idiot. Give me ONE example where Sidey made a good argument that wasnt a quote from Richard Dawkins or a link to a Sam Harris youtube clip?

Mastery doesnt mean anything in the sense that you use it. You talk about "adding mastery" as in adding a new feature to the map. By your defenition it doesnt say anything about the quality and advantages of the mapfeature and is therefore not a valid argument.

Allowing people to use their hands in football is by Sideys logic something they should do. It adds mastery and should therefore be added. The obvious flaw in this way of thinking is ofcourse that it reduces the impact of other "masteries", if you are allowed to use your hands in football your reward for being very good in the "mastery" of using your feet is lower. So does it make football harder or easier? Is it even a relevant question? If we hypotheticly say it gets harder. Is it a good idea then? Ofcourse not. Its a retarded idea because it would completley ruin the essence of football.

That is what for instance invispotion do to sheep tag. It ruins the essence of sheep tag and reduces the reward for having great gameintelligence, massingspeed, runtagskills etc. The values me and most others see as what makes sheeptag a great game. If you disagree its your problem, but you are in a very small minority and have no right telling us how the map should or should not be. It is a subjective discussion and everyone obviously have different preferences. But in this case its crystal clear that most people want invis gone.

When you succeed to bring up a single real argument for invis we can talk. "Adding mastery" is not one. Sorry.

Ever watched basketball Sidey? Noticed how they dribble and pass with their hands? Which you cant do in football, but its still a mastery. Lets say you add the same rules for hands as you have in basketball. Would add shitloads of mastery and is therefore a good idea according to your logic.

I understand the argument and using unvague terms doesnt make it any less of a fallacy. The masteryargument have been shot down and explained why its not a valid argument several times. Yet Sidey continues to bring it into debates and thats why everybody except Beeeh- stopped listening to him. He is either making a 5 year still going trolling or is immensley stupid. Either way he doesnt seem like the person to consult when we ask ourselves why sheep tag is dying. But if he has something to say, Ill listen, allthough I doubt its anything else than his usual dravel.

To say something actually sensible:

One thing I never understood is how you guys spend HOURS AND HOURS of your time debating about who to blame for the ST activity dying. Here in forums, there in Bnet, I've seen it being done SO MANY TIMES yet you are not advancing at all. These are the same arguments I saw back in 2010 during the 1st slump.

If there is something wrong in the map, why not just fix it instead? -.- Make a thread where everyone gets to say what is "wrong" with the current ST map and fix all the problems. It's not that hard.

How does anyone benefit from this debate? Even if you come to an unanimous decision and label someone as the "killer of ST", does it save the map? Or are you doing this only because of the fact that the whole STC has always revolved around flamewars and licking? Explain m3333

Sidey is doing this because he is too stupid to make real arguments regarding what he wants with the map.

If someone can make changes in the map I have tons of changes ready, but the problem is we have no mapmaker.

Activity goes up and down all the time. I went inactive just before inactivity went down and came back like 2 weeks ago. I have no idea what happend when I was gone.

I can explain the downfall of activity so easily for the last 2 months and I haven't even played sheep tag. Here goes... you ready?

i've tried to do a bunch of stuff. the difference between me and drew is that drews ideas got implemented while the ones i supported didn't. hence, peanutbrains think drew did alot while others did nothing. reality = everyone who supported and fought for ideas they liked did as much as drew in terms of trying to improve the map.

time is a relevant factor to all games. you need to isolate the independent factors for st not growing/dying faster than other games. saying that ST never lived up to its potential because of TIME is like saying that the world trade center fell to the ground because of the laws of thermodynamics. its like saying that ROTS died because people quit wc3. in short; you're a nut.

time effects every game. people have probably quit st because of time. however, the accelerated death of ST, and the barrier which kept st from blooming and growing up to its potential in the past has EVERYTHING to do with the map and the map-changes supported by people like drew and chakra.


edit: mid-term and finals? why are we all playing dota instead of st? LMFAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Give me your changes. Just list a few of them down so that I can see what you are talking about. Like this:

1. Add more items to hero-skill quick-buy list (Srsly, would be so easy to click 2 buttons instead of having to type "-buy 3c", not everyone even remembers what to type when u wana quickbuy claws)
2. Make Strength Potion into a skill instead of an item, castable whenever you want.
3. While you're at it, retweak the Manapoints of wolves so that spamming mirrors and wards and the "STR spell" actually matter.

Sheep Tag is considered dead at this point and yet your all still flaming and fighting over a dead game what is wrong with you people.

WE ARE ALL IN THIS TOGETHER and look what you have done. It is not one single persons fault it fell apart its everyone who ever played a sheep tag game and just watched as the community fought and argued till there was nothing left but threads of disrespect and name calling.

If you guys spent have as much time actually playing Sheep Tag as you do arguing over absolutely nothing for the purpose of inflating your ego then sheep tag would still be fun.

It truly is saddening to see a wonderful fun game and a truly remarkable community with such talented and intelligent people let there ego's take over and turn it into a flame fest and argue over why its falling apart instead of actually just playing the game and doing what sheep tag was meant to do and that was provide enjoyment.


Right now I want you to try to remember the first pro sheep tagger you ever saw, before you knew how to play at all. Some random pub game and now remember how much you wanted to be able to do what that guy did. Because when I think of sheep tag I want to remember the moments of laughter and fun with people I have learned to love over these past 7 years. I don't want to look back and just remember the falling out of sheep tag and the hatred everyone had for each other.

Sheep tag was a great game and had a great run. So can we keep it that way let's not taint its legacy with slander and more slander. Most of you I would like to keep in touch with and see where you end up in life. So can we keep these forums as a means for communication between old friends? Or are we still children that don't know how to let go of anything. Sheep Tag is gone let it go.

Maybe one day 20 years from now we could all schedule a weekend to get back on how much fun would that be , not very much fun if we keep all this fighting up. So let it go.

Remove cashfarms, goldsharing and invis. Also remove all claws/cloaks etc. 2 hits all the time (3 with aura). Reduce str beam cost to like 50.

If we try these changes it might be a good idea to readd stack, but not before.

I gave out the map a half a dozen times already. As I explained, everyone is lazy and useless. No one ever does anything that actually requires work. Everyone hides behind shades of having other things to do while they still play 10 hours of DotA a day.
