Sidey might give you the impression of a guy who got good ideas in general. But really, how good are these ideas? I wont make a long topic about why I think his ideas are bad. This isnt even about Sideys ideas, his ideas might be good and his ideas might be bad. Thats not the point of this topic. The point of this topic is about one single question I would like to ask all of you.
Have Sidey EVER taken the responsibility to answer questions about his ideas? If so I have at least missed it. All Ive seen when Sidey argues for something are monsterpost with personal attacks, some good arguments, some direct fallacies and some really bad arguments. But I have NEVER seen him answer questions about his ideas.
Ill give you one example. Sidey have talked for YEARS about something called "mastery". But not ONCE have he explained exacly what "mastery" is and why all "masteries" are good for sheep tag. If he have answered these questions, then PLEASE, quote the answers here.
Sideys way of reasoning is very similar to religion. He introduces an idea, it can be "the map needs more mastery", the idea of God or communism or capitalism. It doesnt really matter what it is. Now, once this idea is introduced every single argument links back to this idea. But the idea itself is NEVER questioned. This isnt just a problem with Sidey when he enters mapdiscussion, but a pattern in basically every discussion he enters.
Sidey is, sometimes, an entertaining guy. But not someone we should council in important questions. We need people capable of critical reflection for this, speaking and writing good english is simply not enough.
